Meyhouse Restaurant General Manager, Sous Chef, Servers ariyor! (Palo Alto, CA)


  • Meyhouse, a modern Turkish and Aegean coast seafood restaurant is coming to downtown Palo Alto in April 2022. Meyhouse has already earned a fantastic reputation for serving high quality mezze, pristine seafood, and charcoal-grilled dishes in a relaxed atmosphere at their current location in Sunnyvale. This new project seeks to build upon that reputation in a much larger space, with an award-winning beverage program, impeccably designed space, and elevated Aegean seafood-inspired dishes.

    General Manager

    • Minimum 2 years experience in restaurant management
    • Proven track record of building strong teams
    • Knowledge of P&L, inventory, and cost controls
    • Kind, generous, and outgoing
    • Problem solver
    • Desire to create a great place to work and dine for our community

    Sous Chef

    • Minimum 2 years experience in high-quality restaurant kitchens
    • Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
    • Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment and stations
    • Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking, and pastry techniques
    • Leadership skills
    • Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
    • Excellent time management abilities
    • Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
    • Familiarity with sanitation regulations
    • Culinary school diploma preferred

    Servers

    • At least one year of experience working in fine dining restaurants
    • A warm and outgoing personality
    • A strong desire and willingness to learn about our cuisine and beverage program
    • Excellent people skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
    • Natural ability to provide genuine, refined, and hospitable service
    • Excellent team player
    • Experience with Toast, or other POS system
    • Strong multitasking skills in a high volume, fast-paced work environment

    Bar Manager

    • Minimum 2 years experience in a management role
    • Advanced knowledge of classic and craft cocktails
    • Understanding of bar P&L
    • Willingness to educate, coach, and mentor bartenders and staff
    • Attention to detail and execution
    • Exceeds at creating memorable guest experiences in a high volume environment
    • Natural hospitality professional
    • Ability to keep a level head when under pressure
