Due to COVID-19 precautions, access to Mission Turkey facilities is limited to individuals who have been physically present in Turkey for at least 10 days. In addition, if you have had cold or flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days, such as a fever, shortness of breath, or a persistent cough you must reschedule.
Current Operations:
U.S. Embassy Ankara is processing all categories of immigrant and fiancé(e) (K1 and K2) visas. As a result of the suspension of routine visa services associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a backlog in all types of visa categories.
Also, we are providing limited USCIS services which includes returning resident visa appointments (DS-117), follow-to-join refugees and asylees (V92 and V93) interviews and delivery of USCIS travel documents received at post. Please be aware that we are not providing DNA testing and ink fingerprinting services.
For additional information regarding visa processing at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, please refer to our website: https://tr.usembassy.gov/visas/
*K-1 appointment slots are available at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ and applicants should monitor this website for appointment availability and to schedule their appointment.
Important Note on Visa Interviews: Interviews are conducted in English, Turkish and Persian. An applicant must bring a certified interpreter if he or she does not speak English, Turkish or Persian well enough to participate unassisted in the visa interview. If you need to conduct your interview in another language, please contact us at [email protected] with your language preference and we will provide you further instructions on how to proceed with your application.
If your file is currently at the National Visa Center (NVC) and is documentarily qualified, you will receive a notification when the appointment is scheduled. Due to a backlog in scheduling, there is a delay between when your case is documentarily qualified at NVC and when your case is scheduled for an appointment.
