Dear Goodluck v Biden Plaintiffs,
Late Sunday night, Judge Mehta issued an order staying the Goodluck lawsuit until the appeal is decided in Gomez and Goh.

Practically, we were not expecting Judge Mehta to order the issuance of reserved visas before the appeals court issued an opinion anyway. what this means is only that Judge Mehta will not be issuing an order on the motions for summary judgment until after the appeals court issues its opinion. As I have written before, since the hearing in the appeal will not be until September, we do not expect reserved Goodluck visas could be issued before early 2023.
The next development will be later this week, when we file our opposition (due April 21) to the government's opening brief in the appeal.
Thanks for your continued patience.
