@Atlantan H1B vizeniz varsa zaten Amerika icinden direkt AOS ile ilerlemenizi tavsiye ederim. I-485'e basvurduktan sonra Amerika'da vizeniz olmadan da kalmaya devam edebiliyorsunuz.

@yoz H1B vizem 2026'ya kadar geçerli ancak postdoc bulmak lazım, yeni bir postdoc bulmak zor o nedenle artık başka vize türlerinde başvuru yapılabiliyor mu onlara bakıyorum. Mesela B2 türü turist vizelerinde yapılamıyor aynı şekilde F1 ve benzeri öğrenci vizelerinde de yapılamıyor diye biliyorum. Geriye sadece H1 veya O türü vizeler kalıyor Amerika içinden AOS'e başvurmak için. Keşke uzun zaman önce Türkiye'ye transfer ettirseydim ama bilemedik işte.

@ozenrame bildigim kadariyla interview waive ediliyor bir cok basvuruda. ozellikle de i485 formunuz eksiksizse ve dosyanizi I-693 formunu da eksiksiz eklediyseniz (Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record). ama eger olur da yine de interview e cagirilirsaniz, bilgisine guvendigim oscar's green card kanalinin ucretli kursundaki videolardan birinde sunlari paylasiyor, videosundaki yazilari sizin icin tek tek kopyaliyorum;

The interview

• On the day of the interview, arrive 30 min early.
• Dress professionally or semi-professionally (nothing crazy, but give a good impression!)
• If you have derivatives, each one of you will be assigned your own time slots, but most likely allowed to go in together.
• The interview takes 30-60 minutes, but they could be delayed so account for extra waiting time.
• When you come in, they will ask you to raise your right hand and swear you will say the truth
• Speak calmy and clearly, do not be "chatty" and provide truthful information only. If you do not understand what is asked of you, just ask the officer to reformulate the question

DOCUMENTS TO BRING

• Bring interview notice
• Bring medical exam if you did not submit it earlier
• Bring identification documents: Passport, driving license, SS card
• Bring family documents: original and copies of marriage and birth certificates
• Bring updated printouts of 1-94 and travel history
• Bring travel document, EAD cards, approval notices.
• The officer has your full 1-140 application, so don't bring it again.
• You can bring, however, originals of key documents you included as copies, such as University diplomas, transcripts, equivalency reports...
• Documents to establish your marriage is bona fide: joint credit cards, joint tax returns, utility bills showing the same address, selection of pictures... you can make a folder with these in case they ask 1

QUESTIONS

• The officer may ask a few questions about your original 1-140 petition
• You may be asked
• Where do you work?
• What do you do exactly?
• They want to verify you continue working in the same field!
• Questions about your current and past immigration status
• Questions about spouse (dedicated slide later)

QUESTIONS: 1-485 form

• During the interview, the officer will most likely go through your whole i-485 torm
• If there is anything to correct, you can indicate it and the officer will make the correction
• The officer will ask you all the questions from the 1-485 extensive questionnaire

QUESTIONS ABOUT SPOUSE

• Where and how did you meet?
• Who proposed and when/where?
• Did you go on a honeymoon? (Where?)
• What's your spouse profession? How much do they make?
• When did you move in together?
o In general, any question that will help the officer establish that your marriage is bona fide. It is wise to bring a few pictures and documents to help you with this.
• In certain cases, the officer may choose to interview each of you separately to check for inconsistencies in the stories.

AFTER THE QUESTIONS

• Sometimes they will tell you everything is OK or even that it is approved
• Sometimes they will just say you will hear from them by mail
• If they need something else, they will give you a notice stating what that is, so you can mail it (something like an in-person RFE)
• If the officer is efficient they may finish everything that day so you can check your online status that day or the following
• Other officers take a few days or up to a month to finalize the process

@kemalede Çok teşekkür ederim hocam. Sizinle bir ay arayla gönderildi EB2 dosyalarımız. Sizin Ağustos ayında açıklandığı için ben de Eylül ayında haber almayı umuyorum. EB1A ise 5 Ağustos PD li olarak bekliyor. Bazı kararlardan ötürü EB1A için premium process talep ettim. USCIS'e bugün ulaştı. 15-20 gün heyecanlı bir bekleyiş olacak benim için. Dilerim sorunsuz bir şekilde I 485 sürecini başlatabilirim.

@ozenrame umarim guzel sonuclanir ve en kisa zamanda elinize olusur sonucunuz. bence bu cuma haberini almis olursunuz PP'den dolayi. ben regular processing icin halen bekliyorum 8 Mart'tan beri.

bu arada, vakit kaybetmemek adina medical examination surecini baslatin isterseniz hemen. o da, doktorun ve ofisinin hizina gore, sizin asilariniz tamamlanma surecine gore yavas ilerleyebiliyormus. EB1A'in notice'i gelmeden once tamamlamis olursunuz belki. I485 paketini medical reportsuz da gonderebiliyormussunuz ama USCIS dahil kimse tavsiye etmiyor bunu.

@kemalede dilerim hocam dediğiniz gibi olur. Bu süreç gerçekten çok stresli. Olur olmaz mı emin değilim, sanki güçlü bir dosya gönderdim. Ödüllerim vardı falan ama insan yine de bilemiyor işte. PP işlenmesi hemen olur mu emin değilim. O yüzden demiştim 15-20 gün diye. Siz cuma belli olur diyince daha çok heyecanlandım.

Şöyle bir araştırdim bulunduğum eyalette sağlık raporu için yakın tarihli randevu alabiliyorum hemen. Hiç aklıma gelmemişti bu. I 140 kabulu ile bildirim alır almaz randevu alacağım. Buradan da haber veririm sizlere.

Merhabalar . Acaba Ocak 2024 ve sonrası PD olup ta welcome letter alan oldu mu ? Ben henüz almadım welcome letter ancak baktığımda PD ile DQ arası en fazla 6 ay gibi görüyorum .

@Yuksel-Celik PD'niz current degilse, hic bir kosulda I-485 basvurusu yapamazsiniz. is teklifi olsun olmasin... bu arada, eger is teklifiniz varsa, I-485'in dosyaniza bunu eklersiniz evet, onay almanizi kolaylastirabilir, ama degerlendirmenin hizlandirmasina ayrica katkisi olmaz

(belki bir istisna, ABD devlet ofislerinden bir is teklifiyse ya da ABD menfaatine calisan non-profit bir sirketse ve destek mektubu alabilirseniz bunlardan, belki I-485 icin request to expedite adjudication yapabilirsiniz. bu da yine, PD tarihi current olup basvurdugunuz I-485'in hizli degerlendirilmesine yardim edebilir ancak.)

Herkese merhaba. 2024 yılında regular I-140 başvurusu yapan ve dosyası kabul olan arkadaşlarımız oldu mu acaba. Excel dosyasından takip edemiyorum sanırım tabloya işlenmiyor. Sadece kemalede Hocamız var gibi görünüyor.

Oldu evet hocam benim başvurum 5 ay içerisinde kabul oldu.

Sizinkide bu sıralar kabul olabilir bence. Yaklaşık 4-6 ay gibi sürüyor.

@chemistontheroad Teşekkürler. Buradaki arkadaşların hemen hemen 5 ay içerisinde cevap aldığını görüyorum. İnşallah biz de yakın zamanda olumlu sonuç alırız. Süreç uzayınca doğal olarak tedirginlik artıyor. Tüm arkadaşların işinin kısa zamanda hallolması dileğiyle....

Evet basvurudan yaklasik 5 ay sonra cevap geliyor. Yine başvurulan yaklaşık 16 ay sonra ise cevap olumluysa mülakat gerçekleştiriliyor.
