If you are seeking to move a case that has not yet been scheduled for interview, please contact [email protected]. Applicants should provide the new address where they are or will be physically present, and should include their DV case number, full name, and DOB along with their inquiry. If you have already been scheduled for an interview at another post and wish to transfer your case to U.S. Embassy Bangkok, please provide us with a copy of your interview appointment e-mail.

Please note that reassignment/transfer of your case to another embassy or consulate does not mean that you will be scheduled for a visa appointment. Appointments are scheduled after the DS-260 immigrant visa application for the principal applicant has been fully processed, when the case number is current according to the Visa Bulletin, and when the assigned embassy or consulate has an interview appointment available for that case. Having your case reassigned may delay or prevent an appointment from being scheduled, depending on where your case falls in the order of the other cases assigned at the new interview location. For this reason, it is very important that you not travel to another country simply for your DV application. There is no way to know whether or when your interview will be scheduled, and you will be responsible for understanding and complying with all immigration and other laws while in that country.
