Konsolosluktan bugün aşağıdaki yanıtı aldım. Dolayısıyla 14 yaş altı olsa bile randevu alınmış bir başvuru sahibi için evrakları kargo ile değil ebeveynlerden birinin götürmesi gerekiyormuş. Çocuğun katılım durumunun ise tamamen konsolosluğun takdirinde olduğu iletildi. Konsolosluk tarafından iletilen metnin orijinali ise aşağıdaki gibidir:

We understand that you want more information about the U.S. visa application process for a child below age 14.
In response to your question, we would like to inform you that children below 14 years of age are eligible for an interview waiver if at least a parent already has a valid visa.
If you already schedule an appointment, generally regardless of age, the applicant should attend the appointment. The parent or one of the parents can bring the document on the day of the interview. However, it is the jurisdiction of the embassy if they will ask for the appearance of the child.
