Alaska priority boarding has a streamlined boarding procedure aimed to improve the travel experience for customers by assuring a seamless and fast entry into the aircraft. The boarding groups are separated into five basic categories: First Class, Mileage Plan™ members (for elite status), Priority Boarding, General Boarding, and Pre-Boarding. Each group is directed to board in a specified order, reducing congestion at the gate and making the boarding procedure as smooth as possible. First Class passengers get the highest priority, followed by frequent fliers with Mileage Plan™ Elite status. These travelers are given priority boarding to ensure they take their seats first.
